Troubleshoot Groups and Invitations

Before you begin

Confirm that you are signed in and online. These checks apply to iPhone, iPad, Android, macOS, Windows, and web unless a step identifies one platform.

A joined group is missing

Open Messages or Chats and clear the search.

Search the exact group title again.

Check Archived.

Refresh after confirming the device is online.

A direct group invitation is missing

Direct invitations appear at the top of Messages or Chats with Accept and Decline. If the card is gone, it may have been declined, withdrawn, or handled on another signed-in device.

A person cannot be added

Add Friend to Group lists eligible MYOPL friends, not every MYOPL member.

Confirm the group permits members to add friends, or ask an admin.

The other person's privacy setting may prevent the addition.

Use an invite link for someone who is not yet a friend.

An invite link is invalid

An admin may have selected Reset link.

Ask for the newest link.

Sign in before completing the join.

If approval is enabled, wait for an admin to accept the Member request.

The group is read-only

An admin may have disabled Send new messages for members.

Your membership may be in a suspension cool-off period.

Ask a group admin to review the permission or suspension.

A new group's photo or permissions are wrong

The creation controls may not be retained. Open Group Info, upload the photo with the avatar pencil, then open Group settings or Group permissions and verify every control.

A setting does not save

Reconnect to the internet.

Reopen Group settings or Group permissions.

Check the stored value before changing it again.

If the problem continues, record the exact error and contact MYOPL Support.

Expected result

The group, invitation, member action, invite link, sending access, photo, or permission returns to the state confirmed by the group administrator.
