Suspend or Unsuspend a Group Member

Updated August 23, 2026

Before you begin

You must be a group admin. A suspended member can read the conversation, but MYOPL hides or disables sending and new-match controls until access returns.

iPhone, iPad, Android, macOS, and Windows

Open Group Info.

Under MEMBERS, open the dropdown beside the member.

Select Suspend Member.

In Suspend Member, select a Duration: 4 Hours, 8 Hours, 1 Day, 3 Days, 1 Week, or Permanent.

Optionally enter a Reason. It is for record keeping.

Select Suspend.

Web

Open Group Info and the member dropdown.

Select Suspend Member.

In Time for a Timeout, select a cool-off duration.

Optionally enter Reason for Suspension (Optional). The member does not see it.

Select Apply.

Unsuspend a member

Return to the member dropdown.

Select Unsuspend Member.

Expected result

The member sees the group in Read-Only mode. A timed suspension expires automatically; Permanent remains until an admin unsuspends the member.

If suspension fails

A duration must be selected before Suspend or Apply is enabled.

Confirm that both accounts are linked to MYOPL and that you remain an admin.

Refresh Group Info before retrying.
