Create an Account

Before you begin

You need a mobile phone that can receive SMS, a unique email address and username, a password of at least eight characters, and a location you can select from the suggestions. You must be at least 13 years old and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

iPhone, iPad, Android, macOS, and Windows

Open MYOPL Messenger and select Sign Up.

Enter your phone number.

Select the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy checkbox.

Select Send Code.

Enter the six-digit code and select Verify Phone.

Enter your first name, last name, email address, password, and password confirmation.

Select Continue →.

Enter a username.

Enter your location and select the correct result from the suggestions. Typed text that has not resolved to a place is not enough.

Select Male or Female under Gender.

Select your Date of Birth.

Select Create Account.

The installed-app signup has three stages. A profile photo is not part of account creation.

Web

Go to messenger.myopl.net and select Sign Up.

Enter First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Password, Confirm Password, Username, Location, Gender, and Date of Birth.

Select a resolved location suggestion for Location (City, State, Country).

Complete the browser security check.

Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Select Create Account.

In Verify Your Phone Number, enter the six-digit code.

Select Verify Phone.

Use Resend if a code does not arrive. Use Use a different number to return to the form and correct the number.

Expected result

MYOPL creates the account, signs you in, and opens Messenger. The email, phone number, username, date of birth, gender, and selected location become part of your account.

Important limitations

MYOPL registration is for people aged 13 or older.

A phone number or email already attached to an account cannot normally create another account.

A username must be unique. Use letters, numbers, or underscores.

The available Gender choices during registration are currently Male and Female.

If account creation fails

Check that the phone number is a valid mobile number and can receive SMS.

Confirm the six-digit code has not expired.

Use a different email or username if MYOPL reports that one is already registered.

Confirm both passwords match and contain at least eight characters.

Select a location from the suggestions instead of leaving unresolved typed text.

If the signup session expires, verify the phone again; MYOPL keeps the completed form where supported.

If MYOPL temporarily pauses registrations, follow the message on the hold screen and try again later.
