Can a pickleball player switch hands or use two hands on the paddle?

Yes. A player may hold the paddle with one or both hands and may switch it from hand to hand at any time. The player must still possess the paddle when it contacts the ball.

The rule permits hand changes and two-handed shots, but it does not permit throwing or releasing the paddle to make contact.
